We are Small Town Samba. We are a non-profit Samba band based in Llanwrtyd Wells. We started up two years ago after many requests following the New Year’s Samba in Llanwrtyd that we’ve always organised. The band is a diverse bunch of people, with an age range of 8 to 80 years old. We practice fortnightly and have enjoyed playing in many carnivals. Brecon, Knighton, Rhayader, Llangammarch, Llanwrtyd, Llanded Festival, plus we already have a number new bookings for next year. We have played a number of joint events with Drum Nation, Broseley Beats, Samba Doc, and have taken part in workshops led by Mestre Pato and Mestre Meme. We are from a small town but make a BIG NOISE. Adding fun, rhythm and energy to any occasion.
