The songs we play are all stories set to music with an emphasis on singing and inspired by various timeless genres from Americana to klezmer, blues, country and bluegrass. We use accordion, banjo and guitar as we enjoy the sound of those traditional instruments.
The Cardboard Box Thieves are a folk group from Builth Wells. They originally formed to play Welsh folk tunes. However all the songs they now perform are original. Bob Warburton writes the lyrics and Ian Jones sets them to music. We have recorded and produced three CDs, digital versions are on Bandcamp.
